Former Mizzou offensive guard Adam Ploudre will workout with the Chiefs on Friday, per a source. It’s the Chiefs' Local Pro Day.

Siran Neal was likely the real draw at the Jacksonville State pro day. Former corner converted to safety with formidable coverage skills.

Makes sense; had him on the list already.

Maybe we're really focused on him?

He high points the ball well and times his jumps with precision. Great hands too.

The main thing that caught my attention however, was how good he was with scramble rules. Whenever the NIU quarterback had to scramble or escape the pocket, Fountain would seamlessly adjust his route, find open space, and track the ball buying his quarterback time and making big plays off of his ability to read the situation. This made me salivate thinking what he could do with Mahomes and his improvisational abilities...

With the combine numbers he put up he might have boosted his stock to be a fourth or fifth round pick when many had him pegged as a seventh rounder or even undrafted free agent.

Have you had a looked at Lasley and Coutee's film? If so what did you make of them? Lasley met with our WR coach for an hour at the combine, and then had a private workout with the Chiefs a couple of days ago. I think there's a very strong chance that he's the man they like. He's quick, a very good route runner, can play slot and outside etc, I think he'd fit the system very well. Whilst Coutee met with Chiefs at the combine too and Is very quick and of course has a history with Mahomes.

I think Coutee is a great slot fit, while Lasley makes for a better X receiver. Coutee tested better with a faster 40, a stronger bench and was marginally better in the jumps.
Lasley has a knack to track the deep ball well and is a smooth route runner with excellent hands. What impresses me most about Coutee is his acceleration after the catch. Both could be great additions but I feel the slot position may be targeted and thus maybe Coutee gets the edge.

I would not be shocked however to see the Chiefs move on from Conley and/or Robinson. Veach’s quote some time ago regarding getting receivers to fit what the offense will do with Mahomes resonated with me. I think they are not done re-shaping the offense by any means.

Yeah Coutee lined up pretty exclusively In the slot, but having watched a bunch of film on Lasley, he would go outside on the left and right hand sides, plus line up In the slot and be very effective too. If we get Lasley, it would allow Reid to cause all sorts of problems because he could move Lasley and Hill inside and outside without a problem.

I'd be happy with Lasley or Coutee tbh. Coutee hasn't had a workout with the Chiefs thus far though which is why I'm starting to think that Lasley might be their man.
