FedEx asks Redskins to change name


Here we go. I think part of the reason we’ve been safe from this kind of stuff is because the Redskins have always been a bigger target. Now that there’s pressure from sponsors Snyder is going to feel the heat like never before.

If they go down, make no mistake, the mob will come for us next.

I mean what else are they realistically supposed to do, they are demanded to change their name, file patents, copyrights, print merch, change uniforms, change helmets, and just so many things that come with a brand change of this magnitude. This is them saying, "Back off, we'll get it later this year, no need to rush this." I'm a fan of this, looks old school for now. This kind of gear will sell like hotcakes because of the likely one year it will be in circulation before being cut off.

February 2nd is when Washington is going to announce their new team name. They picked groundhog’s day to do this, some think they chose this day because somehow Hog will be in the name. Maybe Washington Red Hogs, that sounds awful. Their offensive line was nickname the Hogs when they were dominating the NFL. Any legitimate guesses. They announced Red Wolves will not be chosen.
