Why don't you keep the cross-thread hostility in the threads about the Patriots. This is a friendly thread.

Well thanks. I guess what I mean is, good food usually ends up with lots of color and color contrasts. You know, like grill marks, good carmelization, etc. From that perspective, the tater salad, chicken, and green salad looked fine. I'm just not into little garnishes around the plate that don't do anything for the flavor, so sometimes I just slop the colorful food on the plate. But yes, we do often make our initial determination of food based on how it looks.

ANyone here tried Home Chef? I do like 95 percent of the cooking in our house. I don't generally use recipes, and if I do, I rarely stick to them amount for amount or ingredient for ingredient.

My wife doesn't cook much, and ordered a few meals from Home Chef. A bit pricey, but overall, very tasty. She ordered spicy shrimp and grits, and asian turkey lettuce wraps.

The little kit comes with the meat vacuum packed, and little packets and jars of all the ingredients measured out. YOu just follow the directions. Perfect if you aren't into experimenting and if you aren't real comfortable in the kitchen.

That's the meal home delivery? Haven't tried it. Looked a few times, but never pulled the trigger.

If it tasted good it honestly wouldn't really matter what it looked like to me.

I think this has actually been studied, and when people find food better looking their minds think it tastes better.

Yes it is. $60 for three dinners per week for the wife and I is very reasonable. Here's a review worth reading

That is cheap. Some of my meals run me $30 once I have all the ingredients. I notice that food is cheaper out your way. Mine is high here, being near so much beach tourism.

Again, I'd just as soon cook my own food and come up with new recipes and play around with old ones. But this stuff is very good, fairly healthy, and very easy. And, if it gets her making a meal or two per week then I'm all for it. One other thing, over to the side of the recipe it has the ingredients list for ingredients and their amounts. So, you can keep the recipe cards in the binder they send you, and make it again on your own.

That's quite unconventional. Bravo!
I have a very small garden. Had only 8 corn stalks, a cherry tomato plant that produces hundreds of tomatoes, beefsteak tomato, jalapeno and Sante Fe Pepper plant all currently producing. Waiting on green beans, cucumbers, and small watermelon. I am trellising a grape vine up and over to a small pool fence next to the garden. Thinking if it continues to work well in this small area, I may trellis a few grape vines around the yard to cover our ugly white pool fence.

It's fun to spend a few dollars on seeds or transplants and see what grows.
