*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

How soon they will learn the QB makes the OL and not the other way around.
I think that our offensive line is very capable of protecting Mahomes. And yes, a quarterback can certainly help or hurt his lines ability to protect him. But let's not be facetious here. Bad lines get good quarterbacks destroyed, and good lines do help quarterbacks look better. Do you really believe the Dak Prescott would have had such a great year last year behind the Donks offensive line?

I think our Oline would have done good enough to keep Andrew Luck healthy and thus we would have been winning games in the playoffs but Alex Smith would have got murdered behind Indy Oline.

Dallas built an impressive line. Prescott would of looked Smith like behind ours for sure.

But yeah it kinda goes both ways. Great QBs do make average OLs better and great OLs makes average QBs better.

But average OL and Smith?

Smith has a quick release. He would have still taken more sacks at Indy, but I think that he would've done better than you think.

He got two concussions I mean nonconcussed at Indy when we played them so I don't think he would fair very well with much lesser of a line than we got anyways to stay healthy enough to complete a season.

August 11th can't get here soon enough.

I haven't looked forward to preseason since Marty's first year or Montana/Allen's first year.

The OL was actually good at pass blocking last year.
