Sandbox Simulations is open for business! Sign up now!

Not available in stores! Buy now! Special price of only $1 for a limited time only. We're up and running!

Go to www.sandboxsimulations.com to sign up. (You can learn more about the game as well.)

For the time being, we set the price to $1, and we can't limit it to just the game testers, so if you're interested, you'll also get the $1 price. Just sign up.

This is a fresh reset, so everyone will have new teams and we'll do a new draft.

Also, please give us any feedback about what you like or don't like, and how we can improve navigation. We've updated all of the systems, so there's a chance that errors are lurking somewhere, but we think we're good to go now. Let us know if something bad happens to you.

Funny that this got updated today. I was just about to offer an update.

As mentioned, we ran into a coding gap. Without going into a lot of detail, it involved asynchronous league calendars. When League 2 was about to start we realized that we couldn't run it on a different schedule than League 1. Cdcox and I met this morning and we think we've got that problem solved, so now we're getting the 2018 season's simulation data loaded up. That's going to take a few weeks, but the train has again lurched into motion. Thanks for your patience, everyone!

Okay, update time.

We fixed the asynchronous league issue, but then discovered that bots had been crawling all over our web site like those bugs in Starship Troopers. We had over 100,000 fake accounts get created, which is just annoying.

So that made us re-think our security, and we finally raised the white flag and hired a consulting firm to come and tighten down the moat, the turrets, and the arrow slits. They're just about done with that.

Once that happens, we'll be ready to continue with League 1 and we'll fill up the final spots in League 2 and get it rolling.

Thanks for your patience as we build the next great thing.

The good news is you will get two free agency periods, two rookie drafts, and two simulation seasons in the next 9 Mos. Buckle up.

Okay, gentlemen! Start your engines!

We appreciate your patience as we fixed a programming gap and then addressed some security issues. It was a much bigger job than expected, and we ended up having to bring in some outside consultants to help. But we're about to launch for good now.

So this is your 24 hour warning. We'll hit the start button on League 1 Wednesday.

As a reminder, your next steps will be:

1. Sign your players to contracts. Right now, you have a lot of salary points in your pocket and no one under contract. Go to the user manual and watch the videos and read the instructions if you need to refresh yourself on the system.

https://sandboxsimulations.com/CI/in...ual/#retaining

Be sure to save some of your salary cap money for free agents! Some good free agents will be available and you may want to shuffle your roster by adding some new guys to the team.

You have to sign your contracts (or release players) before you can bid on free agents, though, so you have to use several major lobes of your brain in this phase.

2. As you sign your players, the free agents will come available for you to bid on. Read up on the free agent bidding process if you need a refresher. This initial free agency period is a limited free agency period where all players not on a Sandbox roster are open for bidding.

https://sandboxsimulations.com/CI/in...al/#freeagency

So get ready, because Wednesday morning we're going live for good!

We're providing advanced notice now so people can organize their thoughts and get their heartbeats back down to normal. Then we'll turn it on.
