Jimmy Ward is supposedly available. I'd flip a pick for him if they'd cover some salary.

Why would they want to move him?

That's a guy that has experience playing outside CB, nickel CB and FS...he'd probably be a perfect fit for what Sutton does here with his versatility.

Dunno. It's what Schefter said. I read the article but have forgotten why he may be available.

He'd cost 8 mil this year I think, so I dunno that the Chiefs could make that work.

I saw some of the stuff the Broncos did in the past.

Yeah, if they wanted to, the Chiefs could make it work.

This is his 5th year option. Work out an extension now before the trade, and the amount for this year would go down.

Ward isn't old and this team could use a safety if you can sign him up for longer than a year it's not a bad deal.

They've got a 4 year window to do damage here. It's gonna get a lot more difficult financially (hopefully) after that.

The Chiefs have already been developing what they have.

Sorensen
Murray
McQuay

Barring an unprecedented rise in play from any of them, they are not the future, or at least shouldn't be.

why would you lock in a long term deal with a safety when the FA market just showed you can get them cheap?

Jimmie Ward isnt that much better where hes worth 5 to 8 per for ____ years into his thirties. Hes not that good. Why would you want that potential dead cap when you know you might have to cut him 2 years in for the space to pay other talent?

Not sure why they don't just drop that bum Sorensen and add Reid.
