Also... when the ball gets there faster, defenders have less time to close on the ball.

A normal 10 yard hitch has a lot more RAC potential when the WR has time to catch and turn as opposed to being hit immediately after catching it.

He better watch for pinch points, stay out of the line of fire, have good housekeeping to avoid slips trips and falls, have a job safety analysis sheet filled out, inspect all tools before each use procedure, wear proper PPE, have a muster area setup, emergency response on location, designated contempt rescuers incase of confined space entry, etc etc
