I admire your persistence. I too have them on DVR, maybe I'll try again after West World concludes.

The second season kind of stalled in the middle. However, the final was really really good. Season 3 could be epic. Lenny and David are amazing in this show. Some of the best visuals and acting on TV.

Gotta be honest, this season just about lost me.

The first episode of the season was one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. It was spellbinding.

The spell broke over the series of the season, though. So many goddamn dead ends, just weird shit for the sake of being weird. Season 1 was tight as a drum and phenomenal, this was just ego-serving excess by the director.

The finale was pretty damn awesome, though.

But they had NO PLOT this season to sustain -- what was it, 11 episodes? No plot.

Go find Farouk's body, and they had a pretty good twist with David. But it's pretty obvious that wasn't 11 episodes worth of television. They could have told that story in 5 or 6. So you get two standalone episodes which were okay, and very small incremental moves in all the other episodes where a bunch of shit is introduced, left on the floor as potential plot clues, then just disappear or go unexplained.

The first episode, in particular that epic dance battle, can stand with any episode on television this year. The final episode was pretty great too. But man did Noah Hawley just spread too little butter over too much bread this year.

3rd season will be the last. FX cancelled it. Sounds like it will have a proper ending though.

This is the most unpredictable & trippy show on tv right now imo. Dan Stevens as David is just awesome.
