*****THE OFFICIAL CIGAR THREAD*****

About the only cigars I have ever tied into, other than a few Cuban Cohiba's before a few years ago, were nasty stock. I started flying to Belize every year on vacation and while I was there, I started trying several different varieties and was pleasantly surprised. At this point I have two humidors and several different selections. I still don't smoke that many, but I break one out on Friday nights, or when the boys are over for a beer. Are any of you guys into cigars?

Both orders delivered yesterday afternoon. 35 cigars from CigarPage and 15 from Cigars International.

I'm going to have a La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor 6" x 60 Valentino with my coffee and a walk to the club house.

Starting my day this morning with a coffee and the great Oliva V Melanio torpeedo.

Will have an Oliva Master Blends 3 and a Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro to round out the day.

May have something else tonight with a Dempsey's whiskey

Just did a massive reload order of top notch cigars from both Cigar Page and Cigar International. I also have a few singles I bought at Fox Cigar Bar; Liga Privada #9, Montecristo 1935 Anniversary, Romeo and Julieta 1875, My Father La Opulencia.

Still have a box of PG Gourmet Series Belicoso to buy. Should have around 190 when done.

165 cigars for $1,096 = $6.64 per stick includes tax and shipping

125 from Cigar Page and 40 from Cigars International

I should be good for about 3-4 months

What have you smoked in the past?
Do you like mild, medium or strong flavors?
Where do normally smoke your cigars?
What price range do you want to stay within?
Do you have a humidor?
Do you have any cigar tools?
Do you have a good cigar lighter?
Do you have a good cigar ashtray?
Do you want to buy online in bulk or at a cigar store one off items?

Had a Macanudo Inspirado Red last night. I can see how some people would enjoy it but it was too bold/spicy for my taste.

I like the Inspirado Orange the best. The Inspirado line are the strongest Macanudo's they make

First, right now I'm a 1-2 cigar a week guy.

1. Basic cigars.

2. More mild, but would venture into medium. Right now, smoking a RP White Label mainly. Last time I was at the cigar shop, guy recommended a Drew Estate Liga Privada as a comparable cigar to the RP.

3. Usually smoke at the house, on the golf course, or clubhouse.

4. Until I get a good feel for what I like, I'd like to stay on the cheaper side. Which I'm not really doing spending $20 a cigar. Lol

5. I have a small humidor. Similiar to this one.

6/7/8. I've got a decent lighter, nothing spectacular. Also have cutters as well. Got a decent ash tray from my son not too long ago.

9. Both honestly. I bought a small sampler from Cigars International a couple years ago for a golf trip.

Yeah, it was too heavy for me. Just wanted to get a feel for the bolder end of the spectrum.

I am mostly into pipes and I can handle some of the bolder offerings there, but I tend to stick with medium English blends and Virginias.

Liga Privadas, especially #9 is VERY strong

3. Usually smoke at the house, on the golf course, or clubhouse.
Smoke mild stuff and thinner ring gauge on golf course. Heavier cigars can hit you and bigger ring gauges unravel with wind and conditions on course.
Heavier cigars after meals

4. Until I get a good feel for what I like, I'd like to stay on the cheaper side. Which I'm not really doing spending $20 a cigar. Lol
Plenty of GREAT cigars from $5-$12 range, mainly in samplers.
I don't buy cigars more than $15 a stick as a rule but from time to time I will buy a Padron that run $18-30. Never Davidoff's or other crazy sticks at $30+

5. I have a small humidor. Similiar to this one.
These can bleed humidity from the seal between glass and wood but good for a start. Buy yourself 70% Boveda packs to control humidity. Also use DISTILLED water if you have a sponge to soak.

Heavier, darker cigars with oily wrappers will hold more moisture and need to be relit often.

Here is a FANTASTIC deal for 5 Cigars of the Year - jump on this. $8 a stick is super.
