*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Amazing pass, and then Williams matched it by avoiding two defenders and getting first down yards.

Dude is obviously gay. I don't know why he tries to deny it. It's 2021, nobody cares.

Otherwise I don't know that Patrick would be as cool as with him hanging out with his fiancee 24/7 as he seemingly is.

So Kelce's low block was nowhere near the play.

I think we might have gotten hosed on that too. If it came after the catch, which I think it had to, we'd have a first down and just get moved back.

So to summarize:
  1. Defensive holding only - first down
  2. Kelce low block only - first down but pushed back
  3. Both penalties - offsetting, still 3rd and 5

That seems crazy and reminds me of the famous play where Ben Davidson speared Lenny Dawson that my uncles told me about many times.

It definitely didn't happen after the catch. It probably happened right around the same time Mahomes threw the ball or just slightly afterwards. You can see Kelce and the defender on the ground when the ball is still in the air on its way to Hill.

Went back and watched the highlights of Mahomes yesterday.

He was substantially better at hitting his back foot, stepping up in the pocket and throwing the ball.

Do that and he's fine.
