Well let's see...he's gone the first 3 weeks without even practicing. It's going to take a little while just to get him back in shape to run around at practice, let alone be in a game. 8 weeks seems about right.

Wouldn't have to be straight up replacing him.

But knowing Berry would be back in however long (hopefully) you could have tried to squeeze some life out of an old vet that isn't on a squad.

Anything would have been better than nothing. Which is what they've got thus far from Eric.

Really, we need to figure out what we have going forward with Berry. Do we have a guy who is going to be healthy soon and back to what he once was? Or do we have a guy who's going to break down again this season and that we need to replace?
