The Titans remind me of the kind of Chiefs teams that would get our hopes up and then get fisted by a superstar QB in the playoffs. So it's kind of appropriate, it's like we have to defeat our past selves.

JFC, you were crying about giving up 188 and I pointed out that it didn't really matter as it took a series of fluke plays in the last 2 min to beat us and you say 'a win is a win"?

You missed the entire point. We beat us that game. Not them and their 188 Henry performance.

You know it's funny you mention that. I say they are the epitome of a Marty team.

That being said, I'm gonna make the 2015 Royals analogy..

Obviously we cannot play Houston twice in a row but Ten is actually the former Houston Oilers so...

Royal has their big come back game then the next game won it to go to the series...

Now we just beat Houston in a come back similar to the Royals and we are on to play the former Houston team.....

strange things and what stuff

It's a shame because I really thought your opening post was thoughtful and I was excited to have a thoughtful Titans fan here.
It was the lazy way to put it. If you want to have an actual intellectual football smack talk, hell yeah let’s rock and roll! I’m sure we could both learn something from it as I’m sure I’ve watched more titans games than you and same can be said for you and the chiefs. But I’ll start it off.

You bet your a$$ we got out gained yardage wise, and TOP that game. The Titans defense played their game plan and it worked that week. Keep everything in front and play the ball. Despite the yardage you guys gained, you helped burn the clock and slow the game down the way the Titans like to play the game. That allowed our style of play to last all game and set us up for the go ahead score at the end of the game. With 1:21 left in the game Tannehill drove the titans 68 yards with a big run, completion to our TE, and a strike to Hump for the TD. He followed that up by flatlining your safety in the hole for the 2 point conversation to make it 3. Even with the 25 secs on the clock I had a feeling you guys would get a chance to tie and your offense showed how quick and dangerous it could be and set the field goal up. Our special teams outplayed yours at the end and sealed the game with the block. Our defense broke yardage wise but kept the scoring where it needed to be for us to get the W.

But like I said, that game in week 10 means absolutely nothing as both of these teams are going to bring absolutely everything they have this weekend and it’s going to be a lot of fun to watch!

Henry is going to get his yards. It won't be enough. He IS the Titans. One man does not win a football game, especially a RB. He's a beast, but he's not going to be enough.

People who worry about him seem to forget about our offense, our vastly improved defense, and our QB, coach and stadium. I'm not saying it's gonna be a walk in the park, but there is no reason to believe we can't win this game.

Uh, KC put up 32 on Tenn on the road in a game in which the offense wasn’t even particularly clicking. A game that also included a muffed FG and a FG block.

It absolutely would not take an “epic meltdown” for KC to put up a big number. What’s more, I highly doubt that Tennessee will match Houston’s point total.

Mahomes had about 450 yards in the last matchup. Should have had over 500.

That was his first game back from the kneecap dislocation and the team was a little banged up.

This is going to be a great game where KC comes out on top.

Does that win have an asterisk in the standings or in the playoffs if they beat us?

It took them a couple fluke plays IIRC to beat us in the playoffs a couple of years ago, oh and Henry ran through us like butter to seal the game. Hell we were up 21-3 in that game.

yeah, Henry can run for 300 yards but that doesn’t get them enough points to win.

Weve had some of the best running backs in football over the years, but never a FQB.
I dont see the chiefs starting out flat after last week, this team is ready.
Were at home and this is our time.

But it shortens the games which means less possessions for Mahomes.
