*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

no.

steak and shake.

they specialize in 'steakburgers.'

they hold an annual fundraiser for the boys and girls club where they bring a missouri sports celeb (or someone notable) to host the steak and steak dinner. like 200-250 a plate I think.

technically, . . . Steak'n'Shake.

And you've seriously never heard of it?

It's not the height of gastronomy but it's pretty good and has a pretty firm place in history.

It was Roger Ebert's favorite burger, he actually wrote an op-ed essay about it.

It's the inspiration for ShakeShack, the 'cool new thing' in NY of the past 5 or so years.

It's the first place to make the 'smashburger' where you take prime cuts and make ground beef, then you cook it by smashing it into the grill. This makes thin patties with lots of crispy bits and Malliard reaction.

Culvers has a similar burger, as does Freddie's.

Yeah, they're pretty popular now, especially for 'upscale casual' because it tastes good and cooks fast.

That way you can be a little bit 'fancy' and still compete with fast food.

Oh, I've seen plenty of Steak 'n Shake restaurants, but the tweet specifically said "Steak and Steak".
