Mahomes isn't nearly the runner that Smith is. And he's not quite yet as natural at the RPO as Smith.

True, it will change for the better. More vertical, guaranteed. And then it will open up the shorter stuff and the run game.

Air Raid. Best scramble rules qb in NCAA last year. He is not a running qb like Smith was at Utah. His athleticism buys him time to make big plays with his elite field vision and arm talent.

What i meant to say is Mahomes was very successful rushing in college. Mahomes had 845 yards rushing and 22 rushing TDs

Met some new Chiefs fans at the bar yesterday. They were a bit shocked at how good Mahomes was. I told them I was not surprised at all. I'd feel confident using the kid in the playoffs already.

The Chiefs will be in trouble if Mahomes has to play in your scenario, it may wreck him. It’s about getting him comfortable with the playbook, taking snaps from under center, etc.

It's too soon, though the future definitely looks bright.

The biggest difference for me yesterday was on 3rd down. Mahomes was always looking past the sticks. Smith is always throwing short.

Did you listen to Mitch's calls? Even he gave up on a play or two when it looked like Mahomes was going to get sacked or throw it away. Made me chuckle a couple of times hearing the realization in his voice as he called the paly.

Yes, this all day.

If there is one area where Mahomes is seemingly already better than Alex in, it's this right there. He's constantly looking down the field, not staring at the pass rush or throwing a four yard pass on 3rd and 9.
