We may be pleasantly surprised at how Breeland (one of the better corners in the second half of last year) performs. Playing for a new deal.

Year 4 was when Fullers brother broke out and was an all pro. Maybe this is Fullers year, too.

Ward played well last year.

Claiborne is average and possibly gets rejuvenated pairing up with Badger again.
If that's the case, that's great that he set his price and won't go over it.

But, in an all in year, wouldn't you be a little more apt to pay a bit more?

It's just been very weird in how they've played the corner back game here.

His actions of not trading for anyone?

Unless it's just that other teams are asking a ridiculous amount that is. Which is possible.

This is probably what he’s waiting on.

If the Cardinals start out 0-5....you’ll start hearing the PP rumors again.

Yeah, I think that's probably where we end up to be honest.

Heres what Veach is hoping for:

Breeland gets back to the guy that earned a big FA deal with Carolina and only allowed a passer rating of 59 down the stretch for GB last year. He does that, he’s our Sean Smith.

Kendall Fuller follows in his brothers footsteps and has a breakout year in his fourth season in the NFL.

Chavarious Ward improves on his solid play from last year.

Morris Claiborne has a career year reuniting with Honey Badger and gives us solid play.

The safety play helps the corners immensely.

The run defense is improved enough to put opposing passing offenses in 3rd and long and the corners can cover for long enough for the pass rush to effect passes.

If those things happen, we will be just fine.

I think they're counting on scheme helping them out as much as anything. Not making guys go man as much should help them from getting burned as bad.

At least I'm hoping anyway.

I'm sure we'll be tired of getting beat in the soft spots of a zone, but hopefully it will be better than getting crushed.

Veach is hoping for several planets to align.

Maybe i'm in the minority, but when you need that many "ifs" to happen in the NFL on a certain unit, it's probably not likely
