Sneed is one of the best zone cover corners in the NFL. According to Next Gen Stats, Sneed allowed no touchdowns and a league-low four yards per target while in zone coverage in 2023.

According to Tyler Dragon of USA Today, the Chiefs have received inquiries on Sneed from the Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans.

If Sneed is traded, Kansas City is expected to receive a 2024 second-round pick in exchange, at a minimum.

Eagles, Jags, Lions and Vikings really want Sneed and with Johnson off the market the CB market is really not looking good in FA. It’s basically Sneed and a huge jump to the next best FA Corner

This is a fairly significant element that's being overlooked.

Sneed doesn't have a NTC or anything - but he can really control his landing by choosing to extent or not. Unless some team (maybe Detroit) is willing to give a high pick for him and take their chances on a 1 year scenario, he's going to be able to sink any trade offers by refusing to sign an extension.

But ultimately I think he'd have to realize that's a bit of a bluff. He can't risk not signing long-term right now - this is his 'strike while the iron is hot' moment. If he plays on the tag, he's guaranteed about $20 million. If he signs the Jaylon Johnson deal, he's guaranteed north of $50 million. He'd be foolish to dig his heels in here.

If this trade happens KC is moving the 32nd pick as well. Jefferson is worth much more $ than Sneed.
