That's so weird. I highly considered doing that when I was looking through all the centers in the league last night. Guess that's a sign I should just do it. Why have only 1 Kelce right.

You can trade Cam Erving and I think a 4th to the Ravens for Marshal Yanda.

I started a franchise and immediately tried to trade Smith for Fuller and a third... not even Madden is stupid enough to do that.

I traded Alex and next years 3rd for Bitonio from the Browns. Changed Fulton to a center. Made the line a lot better.

Ok it's 3rd and 8 and you need a first down or you lose. What play are you all going to most of the time? For me, it used to be the play HB Wheel out of the Singleback - Tight Slots formation. Put the O receiver on an out route, block the RB, and hit the slot on his corner route or if that's covered hit Kelce over the middle. Feasted on that shit in Madden 16 and 17. This year the AI does a much better job of covering those corner routes.

Also you don't have to block the RB. The wheel route he runs is great if you have an o-line that gives you some time for the play to develop. It really works best against Cover 3.

This is my absolute favorite play in Madden 18.

Shotgun 4 wide HB circle

Depending on the defense you may want to audible your HB to block, depending on your OL. I almost always do unless I only need a 4-5 yard gain from the RB.

Your first read is the deep crosser.

Again man coverage with a decent receiver he will break wide open for an easy 15+ yard gain.

Against Cover 2 you have to wait for him to clear into the middle of the field, depending on the depth of the MLB. This requires a lot of protection, and you may just want to chuck it to the guy in the right slot running the deep route.

Against Cover 3 forget it, and you need to hit the Z on the deep out as soon as he breaks.

This is probably all you need to think about, but occasionally the defense will be in some 3-man rush with gobs of DBs and then you're really going to need to hold it until the Y beats his man deep. It's usually a low percentage throw depending on how good your WR is.

But it seems like 75% of the time I can get a first down on third and 8 reading X first and then throwing to Z if he's covered. It does take an accurate QB to hit the deep out properly, though.

A lot of times you can get an easy TD if you recognize Cover 1 before the snap and your guy in the right slot has a good matchup. You've seen this before on my videos.

Definitely my favorite play, though.

So we're not done with this.

I was halfway through 2019 when work and Rise of Mahomes got in the way.

We'll pick it back up in a week. (I'm going on vacation for a few days)

Been playing a lot online the past week because they finally allow the use of IR players again (Berry, Ware, Conley, Ford, Morse, etc).

Starting Mahomes of course, the offense is so hard to contain.

I like using Mahomes quite a bit despite his 76 overall rating. It's too easy to hit the deep shots to Tyreek at least a couple times each game.

The way I see it, his awareness rating is the only thing really preventing him from being > Alex on that game. The accuracy ratings are a little lower too but I'll take the way stronger arm in that case. The awareness is basically only relevant to AI, so it's an easy call to me.

The longer button press determines a zip pass or a lob but his awareness is part of what determines the angle of trajectory for the ball when you are the one in control.

Looked this up just a few weeks ago and this is what I came up with.

The one thing I wish they would take away from this game is the QTE bullshit when tackling/breaking tackles. I'm almost always pressing something else when the button prompt pops up above the runners head.

To go further, QTE bullshit in every game should be banished to the deepest pits of hades. Dying Light was a great ****in game. Too bad the end boss is nothing but.....a QTE. So disappointing. Every video game is turning into Dragon's ****ing Lair and it blows.
