Spencer Ware vs Damien Williams

Talked to some folks debating whether or not Williams looked more dynamic than Ware today. What say you CP? Any chance Williams ends up getting more snaps than Ware? Time for a Rainman poll?

Ware looks slower. He's definitely a bit slower than Hunt.

Ware just looked slow period.

Williams was certainly more dynamic. Ware had his moments, though. They're completely different styles of backs, so having both of them might work out well if we can actually gameplan for it.

I think there’s a place for Ware. But, Williams may be a better fit for our speed based offense. Who knows? I just think it’s gonna be a whole lot of passing from here on out.

Williams needs to be out there when the offense is in shotgun.

Williams definitely looked better today, but it was a small sample size.

In fairness to Ware he was probably running plays that were installed for Hunt today, as it is unclear how much time the Chiefs would have had to change their offensive gameplan after the Hunt release late on Friday.

Those are six of Kareem Hunt's 27 career games. Let's not act like he was some kind of monster every week.

He’s was a lot better on the flats. Very dangerous, not so much running.

I was at the game.

Ware looked pretty slow. especially running to the edge. Williams looked faster and was able to get more yards in a crowd, it seemed.

Hopefully Reid can start t draw up plays that will favor Ware's strengths this week. But damn the drop off from Kareem was ugly. Almost uglier than the ladies walking around the Coliseum today.

When Ware gets going downhill he did some damage. He's not Thomas Jones out there, but he's not as explosive as Hunt either. I think Ware has talent but it's tough because Reid's offense really isn't about running the ball consistently. Of all the RBs Ware is definitely the guy you'd want trying to run some clock in the 4th.

I think one of the reasons this ended up being a close game was Andy was testing out both backs. Had this been a real team we were playing today, Tyreek would have been running quite a bit.

That being stated, we're in trouble without Hunt. I liked Williams a lot better than Ware.
