Yeah, I don't think that anyone, maybe outside of the Jets and Seahawks, know which guy is going to show up on a weekly basis.

For that reason alone, I'd pass on him.

One Chester McGlockton is enough for my lifetime.

Probably so

Would depend on the contract I guess.

The jets are the jets but I think there’s some weird shit going on in Seattle so I’m hesitant to take much from there

My guess is that Richardson stays with Seattle on a front loaded contract that allows them to dump him after two seasons, if necessary.

Then I wouldn’t be interested in signing him.

That deal gives the player to earn 20m if he plays to potential.

Allow all other FA’s to walk.

Cut: Hali, Bailey, Parker, Harris, Witzmann, Zombo

Sign: Mo Wilkerson
Kyle Fuller
Junior Galette
Mike Pennel
Jarvis Landry
Luke Willson
Chase Daniel

- Wilkerson can offset the loss of Bailey on a one year prove it deal. Also does not factor into compensatory pick formula as Jets will release him.
- Pennel can be a run stopper and replace Jenkins production.
- Fuller adds to the athleticism in a revamped secondary. I expect the Chiefs to address the safety position relatively early in the draft.
- Galette can be insurance for Ford/Houston. Draft will address the position also.
- The surprise splash comes with Landry. He and Kelce can own the middle while other young Chief receivers stretch the field vertically (Hill/Conley/Robinson/Chesson).

* If Talib is released, I think KC will kick tires.

Draft - Positions that will likely be targeted within first 4/5 picks
NT
Safety
Edge/LB
TE
OL

Names I like that may be attainable at where Chiefs pick early in Rounds 2,3:
NT - Tim Settle, BJ Hill
Safety - Marcus Allen, Jyzir White, Jessie Bates III
Edge/LB - Harold Landry, Rashaan Evans, Jeff Holland

No player is ever going to sign a deal with zero guaranteed money. Ever

If one did he’d be immediately ostracized

Landry is gonna get a lot of money somewhere and no ducking way would or should it be here.

There’s a lot of good solid 2 and 3rd tiger defensive players that will help the chiefs a lot. If they wanna go big on a guy on d, it’s have to be a Richardson type dl but that’s not likely

Chiefs cannot tie up cap money in a long term deal with a guy like Landry, they would be shooting themselves in the foot for upcoming in house guys they need to sign/keep. The whole point of this offseason is to get away from contracts like that.

Alex Smith threw for more than 4,000 yards in 15 games, throwing to stiffs like Demarcus Robinson, Albert Wilson and Demetrious Harris.

Pat Mahomes threw for nearly 300 yards in a single game throwing to those same stiffs, which leads me to believe that he will be dynamite with Hill, Kelce, Conley, Ware and Hunt.

Also, haven't the Chiefs proven that spending $11 million per on free agent WR's is completely unnecessary, along with wrecking their salary cap?

If they spend any large sum of money in Free Agency, it needs to be on defense.

Getting a WR looks great on paper but it's gonna cause us to leave too many other holes untouched. You can't be stacked everywhere.

Personally I would let Wilson go unless it's a very low deal. I am fine letting Conley and Robinson grow. Despite what happened against Denver I still think Robinson has potential and he showed it in the preseason, specifically with Mahomes.

Kelce/Hill/Conley/Robinson and the other 3 young guys is fine with me if we fix the defense. Whatever we do with the G/C combo will have a bigger impact on this offense than upgrading the WR 2 spot.

Truth, but no doubt adding another legit receiving threat would make defenses shake in their boots!

ok, ok, ok...plenty of thoughts in this thread so far, but who's the ONE GUY that we could add this offseason that you feel would bring the BIGGEST IMPACT to our Chiefs???
