My Major Award - what are your hobbies thread

I have a 3d printer and have never really printed anything very large. I've always wanted one of the leg lamps from a Christmas story. A couple weeks ago I decided to buckle down and make one since I have the means of doing so. It got me to thinking, what odd hobbies do you all have? I've always printed and finished smaller items, I think my new hobby is printing large things and making them look awesome. See the pictures of my major award.

That's hilarious and impressive. Well done.

I used to shoot fireworks shows untill I got old and lazy. Lots of hard work, but it was fun to blow shit up and give people a good show.

These days my hobbies are pretty standard.

Some guys in my department do 3D printing of concrete. We're looking to go seriously large.

On a serious note, I am in awe of what they have accomplished with 3D printing.

Revolutionary stuff.

That’s incredible. I’m fascinated by other people’s hobbies as it sometimes motivates me to try something new. I really have no handy working skill so that rules out a lot for me.

I picked up mountain biking earlier this year and that has been a challenge. Much more expensive and difficult than I ever imagined, but thus far it’s been fun.
