*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Give him 5% of the team and he can do super cheap contract moving forward ($15-20M per year).

That was such a weird series of events. Couldn't understand why he didn't take a timeout to get the ball back with roughly 1:30 seconds left and instead got the ball back with 0:59 or so.

Texted my one 49er friend and he was stumped by it as well.

Kyle said it himself. He was afraid KC would get another chance with the ball. Scared of Mahomes. Also scared that Jimmy would go 3 and out. Didn't trust his own guys. Coward!!

This is a great thread. Mahomes clearly did not suck most of this game. The 49ers just made things really difficult and we had some bad luck in spots - until the magic ending.

First Half = "B" grade. 10 points on that defense is NOT bad.
3rd quarter = "F" grade. Terrible interception.
Early 4th quarter = "D" grade. Moved the ball into scoring position, then another bad interception.
Late 4th quarter = "A+" grade. CLUTCH AS HELL.

To have a QB who is capable of an A+ in clutch time is what made all the difference.

I didn't see that. Thanks for the info.

Pretty rough to have your coach basically give up on you when there was plenty of time to get down to score. With 3 timeouts & 1:30 left they could have run anything.
