Very unlikely they get the kind of haul that would move them off of MHJ.

Word is they told him they'd take him at 4 if he's there, and his lack of other visits outside of the Bears aligns with that.

I don't know why anyone is entertaining the Chargers trading Herbert thing (and I've seen it discussed multiple places). Even if it wasn't obviously stupid it's essentially impossible. The Chargers would take a massive dead cap hit that would force them to cut half the team. Not to mention Herbert has a full no-trade clause.

Let's say we attempt to trade up for a WR like Thomas Jr if he falls into the 20s, aren't we just going to get played by other teams who will get on the phone to a desperate Buffalo and tell them that they'll do basically the same deal with them but for their 28th pick instead of our 32nd pick?

If we trade up, it's most likely for a LT, not a WR.
