*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Maybe. But imagine if Steph Curry ended up on the Lakers. Huge part of his brand is being a splash brother. Or Aaron Rodgers ended up on the Dolphins. I Goodell sees that is this is more than just Mahomes. The Chiefs team is the whole package of the NFL. Some media head called them the Golden State Warriors and that is exactly what the NFL has needed big time. The NFL is better off with the Warriors than they are with some superstar who plays for the Lakers.

Wouldn’t that one be on the Titans? I’m guessing we didn’t exactly tank the ratings in 2019’s AFCCG?

Heard an interesting Leigh steinberg article today on Sirius nfl radio. First, a reminder that mahomes is still on a 2 year hold on endorsements. He's going to make a shitload of money. Buuuutttt... I've said before that mahomes is the future of the NFL and I don't think the NFL has figured out yet how perfect he is for them. It's funny that for as much hype as there is for mahomes there's this weird sense that the world is still reluctant to turn him loose as a superstar.

Oh yeah, those insufferable fans aren't right. The Chiefs have had a lackluster list of opponents from a TV ratings standpoint. That has a lot more to do with it. At this point they're just desperate to find any way to be relevant in a season when nobody wants to give a shit about them anymore.

Enough with the stupid garbage media douchenozzles. Let's get somebody who seems nice up there!

Here's a clip of the last 2 minutes of Louis Riddick's interview on today's PTI. It's sploogetastic. He and Shrager are the best ****ing Mahomos out there!

Yeah Pat is different. I love to here unbiased long term NFL fans marvel at Mahomes. I was at the gym today and five old guys in the locker room talking about the super bowl. Every one of them was picking the Chiefs entirely because, as they put it, they've never seen a QB do what Mahomes does, and he's already the best who ever played. Again, not Chiefs fans.

Riddick gets it. Patrick is different. Hopefully he and his teammates bring their "A" game on Sunday. I think they'll need it against a very talented, well-coached Niners team.

I'm amazed that Riddick isn't a GM somewhere in the NFL. Every time I hear him, he's informed, has facts to back up his stance on a subject etc...Dude knows his stuff

There's an argument to be made that the NBA was better off with LeBron in Cleveland. Because he elevated Cleveland to the level of a marquee team, but the Lakers are a marquee team with or without him.
