Awesome write-up for sure....I for one was very glad for this win. Many people are saying that this was like the Lions game last year.....I actually thought this was more like the Colts game, where nothing seemed to be going right, and the game was a grind. Except (of course), we managed to out grind this time.
It's great to know that we can now win games like this, where last year we really struggled in the same situations. How dangerous is this team knowing that even when the Offense isn't lighting up the scoreboard, we can still grind out a W? |

Spot on, its amazing watching a game like that thinking you may lose but knowing you will probably win.
Has anyone ever kicked 2 58 yard FG in one game before? |

Good deep analysis here. I'll make sure to look out for that ref. The only time we've lost in AFCW in 30 tries was due to refs.
I only got to watch on redzone and they barely went to this game. I don't know any guys on the OL. |

I don't think so. Buttkicker tied the all time Chiefs record by Nick Lowrey TWICE in the same game, including the money kick in OT. That's amazing stuff.
Also I was thinking about our rookie punter Tommy Townsend (get a haircut hippie...) He got the hold down for both of those kicks. So kudos to him giving Buttkicker a chance to succeed. I was looking at punting stats between Townsend and Colquitt (who now kicks for the Steelers). So far, Towsend is averaging one yard more distance (44.6 yards per kick vs. 43.6 yards per kick) and both guys have downed the ball inside the 20 three times. Townsend's long is 55 yards, Colquitt was 59. He must have gotten the roll on one |

Chaffers' crew was a dumpster fire yesterday.
Not sure how you can be calling non-stop ticky-tack holding/false start penalties yet miss a blatant cheap shot to the head on Watkins. |

I missed the first half and part of the 3rd quarter due to some technical difficulties here at the shack in the woods (thanks, Dish). That might have been a good thing since my blood pressure would have been eleveated and I'm old.
I will say Andy and Spags need to have a talk with our front 7 about stopping the run. I don't want to hear "no preseason" - blah, blah, blah. Those guys are pros, they've been playing the game for years. Hit somebody, put them down, get off the field. I'm not going to get into conspiracy theories about new stadiums, the NFL hating small market teams, etc. But it sure looks like we get called for more than our fair share of ticky-tack calls. We sure do miss Rivers gift-wrapping a couple easy scores. And yes, Buttkicker was money. |

Thanks for asking about how I'm feeling. I'm fine. I have bad seasonal allergies, and the ragweed has been kicking my ass for about a week now. I cut my grass on Saturday and on Sunday woke up with a sinus headache that felt like a tequila hangover.
Chris Jones got hit with a roughing the passer penalty that sustained the Bolts last drive in the fourth quarter. With Clark out of the game, he becomes the pass rush. He has to be smarter about late hits. He went in low and you just can't do that. We had LA stopped on that third down play too. It let them chew up a couple more minutes of clock before scoring. The new rookie kid from Missouri-Rolla has been playing great, and we had a Gay sighting (NTTAWWT) on a tipped punt. The rookie linebacker from Michigan had a 15 yard sack on Herbie, and of course Sneed is still playing like a vet. So even though CEH had a less than average day, the rest of the rookie crop showed up and played well. So that's a silver lining. |
