Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

gonna throw my sig romeo 5 red dot on it tomorrow and take it to the range, but likely going to go something like th e vortex 3x magnifier + EOS holo sight.

Cant beat an 1800 dollar gucci AR for a hundred bucks, so I can afford a nice optic set up for it~
**** YES. DD is a hell of a gun, by all accounts. Makes the Berretta I won in February (which I'm still thrilled about) look like a pea shooter.

Nice. Most gun raffles give away a generic AR or donated guns a store can’t sell. DD rifle is a good score. I’ve used their rails and barrels on a few builds and it’s good stuff.

If you eat the frogs dangling a dry fly with wings in front of them from a long stick works like a charm and you won'd have to worry about making ground beef out of them.

That’s cool your little girl had that. Seems like a plinker is a handy thing to have.

I'm too obsessed with fly fishing. That's basically porn right there.

Along with mayflies, hoppers seem to work pretty well on frogs:

There are a ton of variants of both mayflies and hoppers, but I like hoppers with a deer hair head so I can fish it like a tiny popper. For a mayfly imitation I might try a size 12 Adams or BWO, maybe even a green drake.

My M&P Sport has been a great gun.

Millspec but with a few little things taken off (dust cover, for instance) to keep costs down. Makes for a very bare-bones, but very reliable and true shooting gun.

Glad to hear it. I was surprised to see this one available earlier today. Of course it’s gone now.

Thinking of a Tac shotgun. I’m leaning towards the old traditional 870 Rem or Mossberg 960A1. My son says I need this: https://www.k-var.com/dissident-arms-cr12
