UDFA Watch: John Lovett TE2?

Seems like this dude is already at the top of the depth chart with Kelce out:

It’s time to start thinking about this as likely as opposed to just a possibility.

4.68.

As way of a comparison, Kelce ran a 4.61.

Hill also is only 220 and ran a 4.44.

Lovett looks more like a conventional H-back.

I love this pickup!! He’s gonna be solid as the #2 TE.

I feel bad for Chris Jones tho. Lovett has a higher chance of playing qb than Jones does

Lovett runs the RPO like a boss. Great emergency QB, TE2, and Wildcat.

You could shift into the wildcat, line Pat up in the slot, and defenses would actually have to respect him as a receiver.

Lovett's 3 cone time (6.83 sec) is second only to Noah Fant (6.81 sec) among TEs in this years draft. Kelce's 3 cone time was 7.09 sec. Lovett has the separation quickness to get open and he can catch better with 1 hand than D. Harris did with 2. He'll be a contributor this season for the Chief's offense and special teams.

Zero percent chance I want MVPat in a position to get lit up like that.

Ideally, I’d like to see the Chiefs take a flyer on ASJ, since he’s only 26.

Kelce, ASJ (or Yelder, if he beats him out) and Lovett is a pretty decent TE corps.

A bit undersized height for a TE. I wonder what happened to his wrist/hand?
