You can't win in this league if you can't stretch out a defense by having the ability to go down field.

We either don't try or are QB doesn't have the ability.

If it's the QB the blame is on Reid for playing him. If it's the play design/play calling it's on Reid for allowing that to happen.

I see one guilty and another probable cause.

Reid needs to go. He's done this shit every year now without addressing the problem. And after yesterday I'd have Smith at least on a tight leash and tell mahomes to be ready.

Your not winning with Alex without a good line and running game. The wind did not help. It looks like for Wr we have a lot of guys who can stretch the field not possession guys outside of Kelce. With the wind they really did not have to worry about the deep ball, blanketed Kelce with 2-3 guys and we could not do anything.

I would have no problem seeing Reid go. But I don't have an issue with Alex Smith closing the season out. And it's not an endorsement for Alex. And I disagree that he's not doing anything about it as I think he was a big part of the decision to aggressively move up to draft Mahomes.

Much as I dislike Reid, the change we want is coming and I don't mind Reid being there to see that through. It'll be here soon. We just have to go through one last bag of shit to get there. And

Smith lost the game. Shit play all game then you can’t argue he gave the giants points by turning it over on like the 25 for their go ahead FG. The. He drove it down the field and when in position to throw into the end zone he runs it up the middle and eats up too much clock like a ****ing idiot and they have to play for the tie. Then he check downs all the way to the giants win. Yea it was all on him. He sucks. I haven’t clamored for him to be benched but I’m done. We have the future whom you have up a few 1st for sitting on the bench.

Wind blowing in Dallas as well?

He's gone back to 'old Alex' and cost the Chiefs 2 very winnable games as a result. These last two games are squarely at his feet, IMO.

It's beyond frustrating because there was just no cause for it. The most telling part was the fact that the delayed draw plays were getting wrecked. Why? Because we're right back to where we were last season with LBs and Safeties not respecting anything thrown over them. So they don't bail, the delay doesn't work on the hand-off and the entire box is waiting to swallow Hunt up.

And then the screen failures are obvious.

I had convinced myself that he'd played well enough for long enough that we could consider that a 'new normal' but it sure looks like he fooled the shit out of me. The last two games from Smith are as bad as anything we've ever seen from him, both in terms of process and execution.

It takes one drive to know exactly what Smith showed up - if he bails for no reason at any point, you know what you're going to get that day. And of course, Smith did it on (I believe) the 2nd snap of the game. No pressure; still left the pocket and rolled to his left. He's gotten gunshy for no good goddamn reason.

Not excuses. Alex has shown he is good game manager. given a good O line, running game and good dee he can win. Problem is that this team is starting to look like it has none of the above. The Wr. also do not look like they fit a short passing game and able to win match ups in space.

So yeah if this team is headed anywhere this year we need a QB to win games and that probably is not Alex. Though doubt Mahomes can come in and do that either. But the experience would really help.

Not sure what your point is on Ben. He has always been more then a game manager, stronger arm (though he did not have a windy day) and his line is playing well above the chiefs.
