Ruthless People and other great comedies

I just rewatched Ruthless People after 10-15 years and couldn't stop laughing. Bette Midler is an underrated actress/comedian and Danny DeVito is always a riot. If you pay enough attention, you will see "Frankie Carbone" of the movie Goodfellas in a scene.

Highly recommend.

Down and Out in Beverly Hills is also great. (Just rewatched as well)

What About Bob?

There are others I'm going through from the 80's early 90s.

Any recommendations?

Spent many nights at the drive in watching The Groove Tube and Kentucky Fried Movie, always a double feature. Roll all the windows up, fire up an oversized joint and laugh our asses off all night long.

Another great dark comedy that is hard to find is Divorcing Jack. If you can find it, it's well worth.

Death Becomes Her with Bruce Willis, Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep was underrated IMHO.

Love that movie, but it's a toss-up whether I love it more for the movie itself or how much Garry invested in it with his comedic sensibility and how blunt and hilarious he was in reaction to it flopping at the box office.

I always got a kick out fo Crazy People and the ads they came up with. I worked for one of the companies in the 90's that was used for some of the faux ads so I got particularly tickled with those.

I forgot about Fandango. That’s one I used to always watch when it would come on HBO.

Forgot about Noises Off too. Both good.

Death Becomes her is really underrated. Especially Bruce Willis in this movie. Plays the perfect beta.

Another comedy in the spirit of Ruthless People is The Ref. Kevin Spacey and Judy Davis play a bickering married couple held hostage by Denis Leary. If you like your comedy with a nasty edge to it, this movie is for you.
