WTF is with the defense?

That's 2 games in a row they really didn't do a ****ing thing. Carr had all ****ing night to throw. Guys are dropping shoulders and not wrapping up. YAC is killing us. Receivers are running wide open.

I will give them some credit in that I thought they stopped the run fairly well against the Raiders.

No pass rush
No tackling
No attitude

WTF?

Not only will 2020 be the highest-scoring season ever but it will break several records that haven't been broken since stats were kept.

For example, 3rd-down conversion percentage is on pace to crush the previous record by THREE percent. Teams are converting 3rd downs at just over 42% this year. It's unreal.
Yep...and it takes some getting used to for sure. Overall the defense has done its part and I think as we get closer to the postseason we will see them turn it up a notch.

They were good. Bucs really only scored when game was pretty much out of reach.

bright spots:

Sneed is a player. He's fast as hell and not afraid of contact.

Ward is much, much better without the hand cast.

Breeland had a really good game.

Honey Badger was more like his usual self.

Hitchens had some nice plays, especially against the run. The whole defense, in fact, has been better against the run.

Defense gave the offense two possessions in TB territory and failed to score TDs. Held the Bucs to a TD below their season average. Then Patrick fumbled away a possession in scoring range. And missed a wide open Hardman for a score.

"BUT THE DEFENSE SUX!"

Dumbasses.
Funniest thing today was immediately after the D finally gave up a score threre were a bunch of posts about the bad defense. Then in the second half after giving the ball back to the offense twice same thing. A bunch of CP apparently believes a good defense should be pitching 10 point games. And despite being called out they'll be right back at it next week. It's hilarious to watch actually.

Seriously. Our defense held the Bucs to 24 points; just 10 points through the first three QUARTERS. The Bucs average 30 points/game. We held them a TD less than their usual production. Only 4 scoring drives out of 11 possessions. About 30% offensive efficiency. Well under the NFL average.

The reason the game was close WAS NOT THE DEFENSE.

Chief Fan demands perfection. That's the only way I can understand it. Pass play? Better be a sack, interception, PBU, or <4 yard gain. Run play? Better be <3 yards.

Dipsticks think this is Madden on 'rookie' level. Like you can hold a real NFL team to negative yardage throughout an entire game. That was the second-highest scoring offense in the league, and our defense held them to 10 points until the 4th QUARTER.

It doesn't get any better than that. In fact, if our defense was really as bad as these dipsticks thought, there's no way the Chiefs D would've forced the Bucs to PUNT 4 TIMES IN A ROW TO START THE GAME.

You know how many yards TB gained in their first four drives? 21, 7, 8, and 3 yards on 14 plays. 5 plays for the first drive, and three 3-and-outs in a row after that. Against one of the most efficient offenses in the NFL.

Hahaha, yeah.

I keep forgetting that many CPers (Chiefs' fans in general) still have PTSD "because Chiefs."

I'm over it now. Leading to water is officially a waste of my time.

Catch ya on another thread, Pitt
