*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Dumbass Magina and Carter are damn stupid. They just can't admit they were wrong. Every week same thing. Once teams get more tape, the weather will slow them down, once he faces adversity, when teams start playing him differently. All of this has happened and he's still kicking ass. Why don't we rewatched the 4 Brady losses and look at those. He's messed up plenty in those games.

Nogs don't watch games.

In other news. That Ravens defense is on a different level. I rewatched the game last night and the Cover 0 is a scary bitch. When they pull it off, pressure comes in less than a second. It takes a real man to stand in the pocket against that crap. At times, every lineman we have got beat in that game. I'm not sure how many NFL defenses have the personnel to play defense like that ... probably none.

I misunderestimated the Ravens defense prior to this game and I'm glad I did because I would have been nervous. The Chargers defense is nothing like what we just saw.

Yes, they did and that makes Nick's statements even greater! The dude is the only voice of reason on that show

It's hilarious seeing Cris Carter and Mangini move goalposts.

They want to be contrarians concerning PMII's success no matter what.

the next excuse will be if he's going to choke in the playoffs.

You know, we've really had a hell of a tough schedule. Look at how many contenders we've faced, and even some of the patsies were considered contenders at the time, and fell off due to injury afterwards.

And Mahomes just goes out every week and clears hurdles. The conventional wisdom, and what the Carters and Mangini's of the world are going by is the idea that there is some great hole in Mahomes' game that will be discovered and he'll come back to the pack. The problem is-the kid figures out his own weaknesses and doesn't repeat mistakes very often. He gets better every week. He isn't Favre- he's young Montana but with Favre's arm. Totally different deal.

He's not going to throw 50 TD's every year, although he might do it a few times, just because he's not always going to have this arsenal at his disposal due to the salary cap. But he'll always be at or leading the league for the next decade plus. And all these guys will have to accept it sooner or later.

You can almost feel him wanting to say to Nick "oh wtf would you know, you never played". Nick is routinely saint-like in his restraint in the respect he gives those morons and their dumb ****ing takes.

Who gives a shit? They're playing the contrarian to keep the show interesting. Do you want them to just sit their and circlejerk Mahomes? No ones watching that after a while.

In all honesty. it's just really fun that the Chiefs are getting full 10 to 15 minute analysis and talking points.

Before Mahomes, KC got the 15 to 30 second clown car game summary with shitty background music.

It's awesome that we have the privilege to view this unfold.

No more brush offs, or neglect because PMII is lighting shit up and burning defenses to cinders.

Just asking why anyone is taking what they say seriously. It's the Skip Bayless/Stephen A Smith principle. Spew outrageously dumb shit and contrarian hottakes, get more views and clicks. The sooner people stop falling for that dumb shit, the better off we'll be.
