Slaps sauce is disgusting. Like it almost seems like they are trying to make a bad sauce. And agreed the brisket is super meh. I never understand why so many people love this place. I think they pay off online reviewers.

Here's a few more favorites.
Le Fou Frog (the chocolate mousse is to die for) Aahaa South Indian Cuisine (one of the most amazing weekend buffets you'll experience) Bamboo Penny's - really good Thai and a lot of hot girls And last but not least, for more American fare, Rye. Get the fried chicken and pie. |

I've been told I should go to Stroud's for some pan fried chicken when I visit KC. Is it good and worth the trip?

Excuse me? We colonised nearly an entire continent just to enslave the people there for the spices they grew.

I think Strouds keeps it a little bland on purpose for families with kids, but you also have to consider the vast majority of the metro area have had their taste buds drowned in corn syrup and sugar for so long so they don't even know what they can't taste anymore. |

I guess if you never eat fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, etc... then sure. I found it to be incredibly basic, especially for the hype and how busy they were all the time.... but sure, if you want deep fried American food (that might be redundant), they have it.
