*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I wanted to be kindof annoyed and say "hey kid, quit that shit!"

But the reason his teammates would crawl over broken glass while it was on fire and electrified (somehow) for him is that they just love playing with him. And they love playing with him because he loves playing the game.

And this is the kinda shit he's always gonna do when he's just out there having a good time with his boys.

Sometimes it's gonna bit us. It may bite us in a big BIG way one of these seasons. But it's part of the package that will make him the best QB in football for a decade and if you take it away from him and make him more robotic, part of the thing that makes him love the game and his teammates love him will be missing.

I think you just shrug and move on here, to be honest. It's against my better judgment, but it's what makes him who he is.

I have a feeling that it's not something he'd try in a big game or in an important moment.

I said the same thing earlier. I understand it, but still.

It's equivalent of Jordan or LeBron or Kobe throwing a behind the back pass out of bounds instead of an easy bounce pass for a score IMO.

Andy did mention it and said it was because of his no-look that caused Kelce to get wide open..
Quote:
“That one, he actually froze that underneath coverage guy who was working a drive underneath where Kelce was going,” Reid said. “That was the objective there. He was off a tick on it. It looked like to the naked eye it would be an easy A to throw it out there but that one kid that was underneath there, the flat defender, widened out and gotten depth but Patrick kept his eyes inside at [Sammy Watkins].”

“Anyways, he missed it,” Reid added. “It was a miss. I know he mentioned to you guys he thought it was going to be flatter or higher and all that but when you’re not looking at it, it’s hard to tell if it’s flatter or higher. I understood why he did it. The picture is there, so I can see it with my own eyes. It’s there if you guys have access to it, just look at the underneath coverage guy and you’ll see what he was thinking there.”

I've seen a few quotes by Wally on ChiefsPlanet that indicate he's had another press conference since the post-game presser. If so, I must have missed that one ...

I was wondering if anybody can point me in the direction of where one might locate said press conference. I've checked the Chiefs site and their facebook page and nada.

Any assistance would get you a pair of socks.
