Dang. A 1st, 2 2nds, a 3rd, and a 4th for a nine-year veteran running back? I know it was a running league back then, but how many more years did they expect to get out of him?

And it looks like they were below .500 for four of the five years preceding the trade. He wasn't a guy they were renting to get over the hump.
