If you're horking out, bacon grease works well also.

Save my bacon grease for three things.

Fried eggs
Baked Potatoes
Monster Pizza

Best on Baked Potatoes

My convection microwave has a dual cook option that nukes the inside and crisps the outside. I brush on bacon grease and sprinkle sea salt. Big Idaho spud done perfect in 20 minutes. Pop it open and sprinkle a little shredded cheddar, sour cream and chives. Butter not needed due to the bacon grease taking its place.

Hey, I just read today that bacon has something that aids memory!

Bacon is chock full of a very important nutrient called “choline,” which helps increase our intelligence and memory, from conception to Senior Status, and has been shown in University studies to help fight off the debilitating effects of Alzheimer’s Disease and other chronic mental impairments.

The pics I did earlier are at 500 degrees. YMMV. I've never had any problem, but paper burns at 451. You'd probably be fine for the short time the pizza will be in the oven. But don't blame me if it catches fire.

Okay, thanks. I think I'll try it without the paper this time, just cornmeal. I don't care if it's a mess. I'd rather clean up a mess than destroy this attempt by ruining the pizza.

I've also been told that at my altitude and RH, the hippy dough does best if the dough is cooked 4 to 5 minutes by itself, then take it out and ad the sauce, cheese and meat?

I've never done that, but I'm pretty close to sea level.

I usually lightly cook my dough like that first anyway. And I think I am at the lowest point near the sea.

It's great for fresh green beans, too.

Canned green beans I slow cook with actual bacon, onion and garlic.

Fresh I cook with spicy sweet Vietnamese sauce, basically fish sauce, molasses, garlic, cayenne and rice wine vinegar.

Nice looking pizza FMB. I think I'm going to make some dough up tonight for tomorrow. This thread is making me want some pizza, not that I need any help.
