Now, admittedly, we might have missed a few electrifying runs had he done that, but the fact is, losing yardage is not a recipe for team success. I'll take the guys that are almost always moving forward. |

Magic made the players around him better, not only raising teh level of their strenths, but also their weaknesses.
Did you ever see James Worthy try moving to his left, and doing ot well without Magic. He (Worthy) was the absolute worst I've ever seen moving to his weak side, without Magic. He looked fluid and smooth with. Michel never had that kind of effect. |

Also let's not forget MJ owning Magic and the Lakers in the Finals. |

I am a Life long Lakers fan since i was a kid in the early 80's and Magic is a GREAT player, but Jordan is the best. Magic has players that fit what he did. Jordan had players that FIT what he did. |

Wilt, the guy who cared so much about stats he decided one year he wanted to lead the league in assists, who asked out of crunch time in Game 7 of the Finals, whose teams were routinely destroyed by Bill Russell's Celtics despite having equivalent talent. And Magic Johnson was a horrible defensive player. Jordan is probably...no check, is definitely the greatest defensive guard ever in addition to holding the all-time mark for career scoring. Dude...just, no. |

KC Jones never even average 10 points (the closest was a little over 9)...never made an allstar team... yet made it into the Hall as a player... Russell even outdid Wilt in college despite playing for an unknown college team... while Wilt played for a big time college... Russell just knew what it took to win... |
