Annoying Neighbors...

People behind us put up a new privacy fence and faced the unfinished side to all the neighbors.

They had a fence company install it. You would think the fence company would be aware that it is a code violation to face the unfinished side to neighbors.

If they had installed correctly there would not not be a 5" gap that I now have to fill between the new fence and our adjoining fence so our dog can't get out.

We have some other one I have to clear out all the time that are worse than maple. Not sure what they are though.

Worse thing about the maple is cleaning all the helicopters out of gutters every few days when they are dropping. Neighbors silver maple is massive. Hopefully when it falls it falls on their house and not mine.

Best thing about CP is that the humor level is that of a 3 year old.

You'd have to post a pic of the leaves, not sure off the top of my head what you are talking about.

Only things around here I've found that are worse than mulberries or maples are honeysuckle and other vines. Even Tordon doesn't kill them. I've injected it with a syringe and they die out and then come right back.

What's wrong with Maples? We have two large maple trees and they mind their own business and give us shade. We have nothing negative to say about them and like them a lot.

Years ago I lived at a house that had a tree that we called a gumball tree. I have no idea what the real name was, but it shed seed pods that were about 1.5 inches in diameter with sharp points all over them. You couldn't mow and you couldn't rake with those things all over the yard. Anyone know the tree I'm talking about? It was a big tree, so if you planted one you could ruin half of the neighbor's yard at the cost of also ruining half of your own yard.

I spent all fall tearing out a bunch of honeysuckle. It was there before we moved in. Neighbor said he planted it because he likes the smell and had no idea it was an appendage of the devil.

Looking forward to clearing it out again when it comes back this summer.

the house i just moved from had two along the street. Most annoying tree ever. Our really old neighbor who moved in when the houses were brand new and being built said that these trees were going extinct so the contractor was paid to plant them in the neighborhood. They would wash down the street and clog up the drain at the bottom of the hill so the street would flood during heavy rains.

Apparently the tree that I mentioned is a Sweet Gum tree.

There's nothing more enjoyable than walking barefoot through a field of these:

My upstairs neighbor says I shut my back door to hard and it startles her cats. I shut it very quietly and she's still upset. I'm guessing she takes meds and has a few cats.

Nothing like owning a million dollar condo and having upstairs neighbors.
