I think Clark is a lot more complacent than the average Planeteer, but not the average Chiefs fan. He's pretty well in tune with them.

(You can often spot them proudly wearing their AFC West Champions gear). And with that crowd happy, there's a lot of pressure taken off Clark to demand more than losing records in the postseason.

Clark hasn't seemed to have a 'Super Bowl or bust' attitude toward the team. He seems to prefer finding someone like Marty or Reid, who will assure you of a decent output of regular season wins, and hope they can one day add a player or two and ride a string of luck through the postseason.

The thing is, this doesn't work. You need to have a culture wholly focused top to bottom on the Super Bowl, not one that is focused on staying competitive and if you get to a Super Bowl some year that's great too.

Building that sort of New England/Pittsburgh/etc culture of stability and building a consistently Super Bowl contending franchise above all else starts with that being the mindset of ownership.

We don't have that type of leadership philosophy here it seems, given the revolving doors in the FO and complacency with the head coach.
