Its Texas. Don't they have some of the most lax gun laws of any state.

They are in Texas, that's going to be a high bar to clear to make a crime.

Lord.
Fellas - it's stupid. In a league full of absolute ****ing sociopaths. Dudes that strangle women. Every team in the league has someone with a no-shit domestic violence change on their record. He was racing his buddies on the highway. Hell, I've done that. Not in damn lambo but in a car that would go way too fast. And it was stupid and dangerous and that's pretty much what being young does to you. You do stupid and dangerous things. "Well someone could've been killed" yeah well they weren't. Or evidently even badly injured. Is that lucky? Sure, maybe. But man, I feel like every single pearl clutcher in this thread has done something where, but for the grace of God or just blind dumb luck, could've gone real real real badly. It didn't. We exhale and move along. Is he gonna get punished? Probably. But Christ alive, some of y'all wanna bury the guy under the courthouse. That's kinda strange to me for something that falls squarely under the umbrella of stupid rather than evil or malicious. |

Been a few hours since I checked in. I figured Rice would have turned himself in by now.

It depends. It doesn't sound like simple possession of a firearm, but could be possession while committing some crime. If the bags they removed from the vehicle were part of some crime like drug possession/distribution, that could be a lot of trouble. I'm no expert on firearms laws whether in Texas or anywhere else, so don't take my thoughts for anything more than just 1 guys opinion.

After taxes, paying his agent, blah blah blah . . . And that’s just where that thing starts. A quick google search shows several USED versions going for nearly $400,000. But I guess he could’ve leased one. |

Yah, me too. Kind of concerned he hasn’t. Not a good look at this point. Hope to God he’s talking to anyone on the team and/or his agent. Someone that could talk him into doing the right thing. |
