*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

BlackOp should hang out with Sammy Watkins. I'll bet they'd have a lot in common.

2019 Divisional Playoffs against the Colts.

Not his best statistical start, but he absolutely controlled that game. Glad he was able to snap that playoff game losing streak in his first playoff game.

Crazy to think we’ve won 4 of our last 5 postseason games.

Patrick should be given a statue on the Arrowhead Stadium lawn the day after he retires.

What about that sentence?

Andy, Eric, or Mike?

In that sentence, the action is on the Chiefs, and not Patrick, so I’ll allow it!

This is a great question and can go in a lot of different directions. I'll just do the 2019 season:

1. 2019 @Titans regular season: Wore a brace and had no mobility yet torched them.
2. 2019 @Patriots: Hurt his hand early in the game yet still was able to put together a really solid performance against a great defense.
3. 2019 Denver: I've never seen anyone as comfortable in a real snow game. That was ridiculous.
4. 2019@Detroit: That last drive where he willed them down the field was the exact series we had been missing for the last 50 years.

Statistically it’s the Steelers game in 2018. No one really talks about it but he had more TD passes than incompletions(6-5).

Titans loss.

Most of his games in '19 were underrated a bit because he was in such control the whole time that he didn't look as spectacular. I'd say the best example of that is probably the Jags game - he didn't make a truly difficult throw that whole game and just eviscerated a top-tier defense on opening day in their own barn.

Of course he's wildly exceeded expectations but many of us knew he'd be great under Reid. The complete unknown was what kind of qb he'd be in the clutch. I don't think most of the nfl knows how damn good he's been. If not for Suttons piece of shit defense mahomes would likely have several more game winning drives under his belt. An absurd amount for his age.

So I'll go with both patriots losses in 2019. It took guts to play big after a frustrating first half. And because he doesn't get credit for what should have gone in the books as a miraculous final offensive possession.

390 total yards, 3 touchdowns. His second touchdown to Kelce was when I knew we’d win a SB

I don't know, I can tell you my favorite game was Rams game. But Bengals game was pretty fun to watch.

I still think my favorite PLAY was preseason to Tyreek in Atlanta tho! That ****ing ARM.

It's wild to think mahomes still hasn't had a deep deep bomb yet. He hasn't had to when you can get it 50 yards off your back foot. Feel like a workhorse RB will help open up the deep game again?
