Clearly his favorite was Cassel. He explicitly said he watches the NFL for entertainment, you know chuckles and snickers, not stress and stakes.

The budget is reportedly $55 million . Expect a big profit for Warner Bros and DC comics here .

I' m really really hoping this film delivers the goods and after seeing the trailer a number of more times , I honestly think it will. For one, Joaquim Phoenix is VERY selective with the projects he chooses (esp at this stage of his career). Really hyped for this film!

Margot Robbie got naked in Wolf of Wall Street. That speaks to EVERYBODY.

I can see not picking up the art-ier side of things. And certainly you have to be in a mood for some of them (the Departed for one). But you ought to give some of those films a rewatch with an objective mind. Most of them offer some really good stuff.

I’m guessing it won’t make Wonder Woman money. Especially not being connected to the rest of the universe (from my admittedly limited understanding).

I think the tone and subject matter might drive some popcorn-type money away. It might also catch heat because mental illness is a pretty hot button issue at the moment.

But it looks like it does it right. Shit looks heavy as hell.

Yep. This one appears to have a limited audience available. The kids that go see the comic book movies won't have any interest in this one.
Not because it isn't a well made, deep-dive character study that aptly probes the darkness but because of it.

This honestly doesn't really look very good to me, but I've never liked the joker as much as the masses.

I liked Bane better than the Joker.

This is definitely ripping off Scorceses ‘The King of Comedy ‘

Except DeNiro is playing the Jerry Lewis role now.

This is supposed to be an else world's/DC Black type of movie. Phoenix I believe said this will be the only movie he will do for Joker.

Good final trailer. Warner Bros seems VERY confident in this one (premiering it at the Venice Film Festival). Here's hoping it delivers!

yeah This seems like a natural fit for actor and part.

As far as this is his only one....this makes a billion $’s, they offer him $100 million for #2, who’s turning that down?
