If I was Veach, I'd go with Harris and Kelce, scan the waiver wire or re-sign Travis to the PS, cut Wilson and keep Devey, who played well tonight.

I'll do a 53 tomorrow but I'm on my iPad tonight.

With Chesson's returns, DAT may be redundant and tradable. I doubt it happens but Chesson showed quite a bit tonight.

DAT has shown a lot this year as well.

I think they'll make 2-3 new additions after cuts.

Oh, there's no doubt that DAT has shown something but he's in a contract year and unless he completely destroys, the Chiefs aren't going to re-sign him.

If they get a reasonable offer, especially from an NFC team, I think Veach takes it.

Terez just released his and has Ross Travis making it over Kemp. Yuck.

He also thinks that Tamba is going to be put on the PUP list and I am starting to agree with him. Apparently he hasn't been spotted on the sideline at all.

Here's Paylor's breakdown:

T isn't basing it on his opinion, he basing it on what he thinks the Chiefs will do.

I love the guy's reporting but that's folly.

Travis, Wilson and Escobar suck.

Miller hasn't done dick.

They can't cut Kemp. Ideal size, very fluid.

More moves are coming.

Bausby has become the guy I'm really pulling for.

I think that kid can play. He shows good reactions to the ball and outstanding athleticism. The only thing holding him back is playing time but in limited run he seems to have a really nice feel for what he's doing out there.

There's no question that he outplayed White and by a lot this camp. He also played well for the Bears in TC and pre-season last year. Apart from a nominal amount of draft capital put into White (what, a 6th?) I can see no reason why he should have the job over Bausby.

Bausby just looks better. Hell, Bausby's looked better than Gaines. If Mitchell couldn't answer the bell, Bausby would be my starting #2 CB in week 1. He could end up being one of Dorsey's final under the radar gifts to the squad. That kid has a legit future.

So you and I have the exact same list with the exception being that you have Hali on the PUP (which seems possible at this point) which frees up the roster spot for Miller.

Personally I have no use for Miller. If Hali ends up on the PUP, I'd have to beat the bushes for another OLB. Sure would've been nice to make a play on Brooks if you didn't think that Hali could make the opening gun.

I still wonder if Hali's not just having a temper tantrum and may end up a surprise outright cut. His attitude is just very odd and to be a complete non-entity on the sidelines and in practice is extremely strange. To me it sounds like he has someone in his ear, be it agent or close friends. Someone's soured him on this team.

I have three roster spots open: 3rd TE, OLB, DE

I just didn't see enough from Escobar or Travis in order for them to make the 53. It's impossible for me to believe that they can't find an upgrade to either on the wire. Same for Roy Miller III. They'll eat $300k but I've seen nothing that says he should be on the 53.

The Hali thing is a complete mystery. I'd leave him on PUP for now and bring in someone via trade or off the wire.

I also have a feeling the Chiefs will make a few trades of their own. Wilson and DAT could bring back late round picks and maybe a team is desperate enough to trade for DJ White and S. Jones.

This will be a very interesting weekend.

Any chance Stave makes it over Bray? I heard on the radio this morning that if they do that they save a cool mil against the cap.

I don't think so but the number is closer to $800k.

Stave will pass through waivers and end up on the PS.

Instead of trying to figure out what the roster is going to look like Sunday, I'm going to guess on who the surprise cuts are going to be.

- Phillip Gaines
- Albert Wilson
- Charcandrick West
- Zach Fulton

I would put Hali on this list, but his cap hit is too big for his outright release. He's definitely going to PUP, if not IR with designation. Here's how I feel about the rest of the guys I listed...

- Bausby will take Gaines' spot and Acker will make it. Not thrilled with Acker, but he's a push with Gaines
- Marcus Kemp will (should) take Albert Wilson's spot outright
- Char West will have his spot filled by someone not yet on this roster, pre Saturday cut
- Zach Fulton is expendable since Erving can also play center

Just my feeling, could be completely wrong.

I can't see them cutting Fulton because he's too valuable and cheap, same with West.
