Made a nice hamburger/veggie soup in the crockpot with some rolls. Nothing picture worthy, but hits the spot.

My grandma always made hamburger soup as a kid. My wife didn't understand the concept when I first made it, but it's a staple in my house.

On a similar note, after coming home from the hospital, the wife asked what I wanted for my first home cooked meal and my immediate response was tator tot casserole. We do it more TexMex style with chili powder, pablanos, salsa and sour cream. An au gratin version sounds amazing.
