I’m trying, just can’t get excited.
I loved Fury Road. It kicked ass. |

Fury Road actually had a lot of CGI, but it was made to blend in with the practical effects. Here, yeah, I have my reservations about the spinning rear-end with the triple flail balls, but I have faith in George Miller.
I am cautiously excited about it. It has a lot to live up to but I worry that it will be more studio-driven, like Mad Max 3 was and like other movie such as Blair Witch 2 turned out to be. The presence of Chris Hemsworth doesn't do too much to assuage those fears. They should just dump a pile of money at George Miller's feet and say "Do your thing," but in my experience, movie studios like to have demands attached. |

I dont think I've ever seen a bad movie featuring ATJ so I'm pretty ****ing hyped. That being said, there is a whole lot more CGI going on here than Fury Road, and that makes me sad. Fury Road was a practical effects masterpiece.

If that had been a bunch of CGI, the movie wouldn't have been very good at all; certainly wouldn't have led to a prequel. The trailer felt more like a Netflix series than a major movie. And ATJ's eyes are still spaced too far apart and she freaks me out. |

Yeah, I saw this trailer last night and at first I thought it was another one of those fake movie trailers. I hope it's not all CGI because this could be a good one.

So it says on IMDB that Chris Hemsworth is playing Immotan Joe, isn't that the baddie from the first movie? But we see a version of the baddie from the first movie in this trailer facing head to head with Chris Hemsworth. Will be interesting to see how that comes around.
