The historical context of the city isn't lost on me....I've been there many times, and the feel, aesthetics, history, etc. scream "south".....

but geographically, it's closer to New York City than it is Charleston, SC....visually on a map, it's maybe, at best slightly further south than midpoint on the eastern seaboard...
