IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

No he really didn’t.

Andy knew who Travis Kelce was before he took the job here. His son coached against him at Temple. Don’t think Dorsey did much to draft him.

Andy watched CFB and saw Kareem Hunt on TV in his office and really liked him.

It’s been proven as fact that Dorsey didn’t do much to draft Pat except trade up.

Andy never had a problem finding offensive talent in the draft in Philly without Dorsey. McNabb, Shady McCoy, DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Brent Celek, etc

Also, Run is forgetting Reid drafted the elder Kelce to play guard in Philly.

I stand corrected. The way that you made it sound was that Reid was just watching a game and decided..."**** it....we need to draft this kid".

I don't remember the story. It was a weird season. I looked at every running back predicted to go in the top 3 rounds because I really thought KC was going for Cook or McCaffery. I don't usually look up stuff predraft, but I've been damn accurate predicting future success of running backs and I thought KC would get one. I had abandoned hope of actually drafting a QB, even with the rumors.

I was really happy about Hunt. I actually liked him better than Fournette (looks like Larry Johnson to me, will struggle to break 4.0 YPC unless the OL dominates was my prediction, and it's held up well. Good top speed, A damn bulldozer and scary to tackle when he's rumbling fast, but takes too long to get going. That means negative plays and no gains. I like RB's who burst to top speed).

Hunt had a unique thing about him. GREAT balance. First guy almost never tackled him.

Im aware of all that. I’m not saying that Dorsey gets all of the credit, but to pretend that he didn’t have a role just like Reid/Veach is pretty ignorant.

His first draft in Cleveland looked a lot like his drafts with the Chiefs. I highly doubt that’s a coincidence.

In New York, the peregrine falcons swoop down
Trying to snatch pigeons right off the ground
But you can search Brooklyn (or even downtown)
And you probably won't find a crow.

In Seattle, the petulant seagulls attack
Trying to capture my favorite snack
But I looked around and was taken aback.
I just couldn't find any crows.

I took to the country to find some out there
But the scarecrows were bored with no birds to scare.
Not a caw to be heard, all the power lines bare.
There's a serious shortage of crows.

I walked by a restaurant and thought, "What's that smell?"
Popped into the kitchen, it was bird-baking hell.
Black feathers everywhere, I heard someone yell,
"Why is everyone ordering crow?"

It was people backtracking on their Mahomes hate.
They begrudgingly stared at the bird on their plate
But the hype train was leaving, they couldn't be late.
So they bit into that bitter crow.
