I don't really do individual stocks as a general rule, but I threw $100 at HMNY (MoviePass) a few weeks back as a lottery ticket. Jumped 175% today, so that's fun.

Just bought some GS stock today. Trying to find the value picks in this high market.

Sleeper company, TXRC if you’d like to research yourself. Interesting stuff.

I always seem to push a bunch of money into indexed funds the week before a big drop like today. I know trying to time the market is futile, and I have a long hold strategy, but I'd love to buy a deep discount for once.

Yikes. What did that?

Given that, I'll take the slight down day in the grain as a good sign.

Interest rates are rising.

I got lucky and sold a couple stocks on Friday as they hit some price marks I set weeks ago. Voya being the big one that finally hit 52 again.

Der. I should have known that.

Too busy watching chiefs YouTube videos to dive into the Bloomberg and marketwatch stuff as to what caused it, but I'll check it out on work time tomorrow.

Pre-Market indicating -300ish at open. China is getting rocked. Down 3%. I got a lot of that. And a lot of ours.

Rates send money to lower risk at reasonable returns. This also gave investors reason to bail on those bloated tech stocks too.

It's a magnificent little correction.

Took a beating.

Anyway, you have to look long term. I'm still in the black compared to this time last year. By a substantial amount.

I still wish I hadn't bought a ****ing dumbass chinese stock though.
