Meh... dude doesn't really bring jack nor shit to the table. I mean sure... he's been here... I'm thinking 2.75m could have been an upgrade here.

Is Wharton the best rookie free agent we've had in the past 20 years? I mean specifically guys we signed straight out of college and developed on our roster.

He might be. Him or Albert Wilson.

Would have said Charvarius Ward, but he was technically a trade. Brian Waters was with the Cowboys before he joined us. Andrew Wylie was also with some other team before us.

****in hell. I'd rather have given Willie Gay as his contract was only $3 mil guaranteed. Wharton got $2.75 mil guaranteed.

Maybe Super Bowl hero Andrew Wylie?

Or perhaps Big-Play Dan Sorensen?

I am not sure people realize how important he is to Spags. He is a very mobile, agile, and flexible defensive lineman. This is a good signing.

Let’s keep the band together.

If all we are getting is a 3rd rounder, just bring Sneed back for the 3peat.

I'm wondering if he doesn't qualify for the veterans benefit thing which would reduce his cap hit by about 1.5 mil.

Well he would qualify.. but so does nnadi (nnadi got it last year and used the full benefit). So unsure if they will split it this year or what.

Well I called this one right. He only counts as 1.3 against the cap. So he's getting financially rewarded for sticking with the Chiefs without it costing us much.
