Also: I don’t understand why people hate on Bert the person so badly. He was a “good guy” who treated players well and emphasized the right things in the program. Or academics improved greatly and off field problems was near nil. Which was a huge difference from Petrino years. He preached character and discipline. Sadly, he just wasn’t even close to prepared to be a HC in the SEC. I also dislike his slovenly appearance and obesity in someone who preaches discipline. That being said, I wish him well and future success.

He came off as an arrogant sonofabitch with no reason to be such. I will miss him because as a fan of both Mizzou and the MAC, I knew both always had a chance when he was on the opposing sideline.
