Nobody is as good as Peyton Manning. Nobody. I repeat, NOBODY! I can see him playing for another 5-6 years and he will be his consistent self as usual, and he is not slowing down at all.

If he keeps this up, regardless of championships, you add 5-6 more years of experience on his career resume and his productivity and play will speak high volumes. He already is and will be the greatest imo.

You take the 12 seasons that Terry played and compare them the the 1st twelve that eldonk played and Terry's stats kill him.

You can then add the two super bowl wins that eldonk got in his 15th and 16 season and still come up short.

I'm fairly certain that doesn't even begin to address my point.

Terry Bradshaw had the best collection of talent around him of time of any QB in NFL history (in relation to their peers).

The late 80's Montana teams could stake a claim, but only for a few years.

The 70's Steelers were absolutely incredible.

FFS, Bradshaw made all of three pro-bowls. While it's not dispositive, it says a ton about how he was viewed in relation to his peers (Elway, on the other hand, made 9 and played in an era with arguably the deepest collection of elite QB talent in history).

Terry Bradshaw is closer to Steve McNair than he is to John Elway.

I would argue the salary cap cheating Whiners had a similar collection of talent when Young won his lone SB. They had an NFC Pro Bowl team on that roster and were cheating the cap big time.
Young could do shit in TB. He threw 11 touchdowns with 21 interceptions while completing fewer than 55% of his passes.

I originally qualified it as saying "over a 10 year period" but the sentence was damn near unintelligible.

No QB in the history of the game has had a 10 year run with a cast as comparatively excellent as Bradshaws. As a rookie he wasn't saddled with a rebuild and he never lost any prime years to down teams.

Young really only had the 1 season with the keys to that kind of juggernaut. That said, that guy was an excellent leader, an remarkably accurate passer and added an element of mobility that few have had. Young had the benefit of a great team around him, but he'd have made any team in the NFL better during his peak. His skill-set was truly remarkable.

Like I said, it's not dispositive, only instructive.

However, it's important to note that the Steelers were the most popular team in the AFC during Bradshaw's era. If anything, Bradshaw would've gotten an additional benefit by the pro-bowl selection process.

Better still, unlike any raw statistical comparison, it considers surrounding talent and respective eras.

A brick doesn't need to be a wall. The Pro-Bowl disparity isn't the end of the discussion, it's just another brick in a very VERY large wall.

Elway is a far better QB than Bradshaw was. Ultimately I think I've probably put too much effort into defending this point - nobody with an ounce of objectivity would ever believe otherwise.

The stats of both players over the first 156 games they played in say that Bradshaw was better.

Elway had 450 yards more rushing but Terry scored more points and had less fumbles.
