16th year in a row you've painted LBJ as the underdog to win it all

Can't fail that way.

Don’t have to do much painting, they’re clearly the underdog statistically. Their team basically consists of a bunch of scrubs outside of 2 players.

The Lakers still have attracted more bets and more money to win than any other team at multiple sportsbooks, and Caesars Sportsbook has them listed as the favorites at 2-1, due to heavy early betting support. But Caesars' bookmakers have acknowledged that the Lakers probably would be underdogs to the Bucks and Clippers in potential postseason matchups.

While the Lakers have taken a step back in oddsmakers' eyes, the Clippers have ascended. Sherman said he believes the Clippers would be favored over either the Bucks or Lakers in a playoff series.

"As [the Clippers] progress and get a healthy team, they have- -- on both sides of the court, offense and defense -- the most complete team, so from a power-rated standpoint, we have them rated the highest," Sherman said.

That's the way the 99-01 Lakers were setup and they won 3 straight NBA titles. That supporting cast was much worse.

As much as you make excuses for Lebron, there's really no excuse why they shouldn't win it this year.

They have 2 top 5 players, no other team has that.

I think the Canadian has to be trolling at this point. The Lakers are 1 of the 3 teams eveyone feels can win it.

I thought for certain Jokic was gonna make that at the buzzer.

I had a feeling this would be the most competitive first round series and so far it hasn't let me down.

Utah ran out of gas and Murray dominated late to help the Nuggets pull it out. Great first game
